इस किले का निर्माण लाल बलुआ पत्थरों से किया गया है, इसलिए इस किले को आगरा का ”लाल किला” भी कहा जाता है। अपनी भव्यता और आर्कषण की वजह से यह भारत के मुख्य पर्यटन स्थलों में से भी एक है।
